The test chain manufactured by Phoenix Scale Technologies was developed and refined by our service technicians which use this piece of equipment on a regular basis. As a leading belt scale manufacturer and provider of service, we experienced a need for a good and durable test chain which would perform up to our standards in verifying the accuracy of all the scales we service. This in-depth knowledge of belt scales and input from the field technicians that are responsoble for scale accuracy has enabled us to offer the most advanced test chain on the market today.

Each chain is sized to the specific scale design and loading rate similiar to the sizing of load cells for the scale itself. The chain was designed with the user in mind for ease of operation and installation. Because of the excessive weight of the chain, it is assembled with cotter pins so it can be lifted on the belt for installation in four pieces and re-assembled prior to winching into the trough for storage. Using our design, the trough and winch can be supplied by the dealer or customer to reduce overall cost.

Unlike other test chains on the market, Phoenix uses sealed press fit bearings in each roller to insure a long trouble free life of the chain. This enables use of a simple manual winch.

Other brand chains use oillite or bronze bushings, which wear, causing the rollers to seize and potentially damage the belt. Such chain makers require conduit and power to an expensive electric winch for this reason.
